Fair & Fornuftig (F&F) is a non-profit organization based in Denmark dedicated to societal inclusion and well-being. Their mission is to develop tools and strategies that identify, counter, and work against populism, with immigration law reform as their starting point, they work closely with both policymakers and communities to improve and modernise policies.

Primary Logo
As Joyride expanded its portfolio across multiple categories, the company needed a cohesive visual identity that reflected its evolution beyond dating apps. The challenge was to create a distinctive, contemporary brand that communicated trust, innovation, and human connection while establishing Joyride as a unified company behind a diverse ecosystem of digital products.
The primary logo combines Joyride logomark and wordmark in a vertical lockup, balancing a professional, contemporary feel with warmth and energy. Designed as the main identifier of the business, it establishes a consistent and recognisable brand presence across corporate communications and digital touchpoints.

Responsive Logo Variants
Designed to maintain brand recognition and legibility across diverse applications, Joyride’s responsive logo system features versatile configurations tailored to varying formats and scales. From vertical and horizontal lockups to compact, logomark-only versions for smaller placements, each variant preserves the brand’s distinctive character while ensuring clarity, legibility, and flexibility across the Joyride ecosystem.
To avoid the irradiation illusion (where a light logo appears thicker on a dark background), the logotype and icon are crafted with slightly different stroke weights.

Monochromatic Logos

Scalable Logomark
Designed for clarity and recognition at any size, Joyride’s distinctive logomark adapts seamlessly to compact digital applications. Whether used as a mobile app icon or 16x16px website favicon, it maintains its visual impact and brand recognition, ensuring a consistent identity across digital touchpoints.

Sketch & Construction
The design process began with intuitive, hand-drawn sketches to explore the logo's proportions, rhythm, and visual character before refining them into precise vector geometry. The resulting logomark is constructed from four abstract "J" letterforms, symbolizing Joyride’s four core pillars: dating, health and wellness, astrology, and AI companions.
While the logotype initially referenced Quiche Text as a typographic baseline, its awkward geometry required a complete redesign. Custom adjustments to weight and spacing, addition of humanist serifs, and bespoke letterforms (particularly the "J" and "Y") were introduced to give the typography its own unique personality, successfully balancing timeless elegance with a modern, approachable touch.

Colour Palette
Joyride's colour palette reflects the essence of a modern, sophisticated tech holding company, balancing trust and security with joyful energy. Each shade was picked with care to show off different sides of the brand, grounded and reliable, yet warm and vibrant. It’s a mix of clean neutrals and eye-catching highlights that strike the perfect balance: professional, approachable, and refined enough to stand out in a competitive tech market.

Typography
Joyride's typography pairs the clean, modern versatility of Poppins as the default sans-serif typeface with the refined, sophisticated warmth of Lora for sub-headings, emphasis, and personal touches. This dual-font system establishes a clear visual hierarchy across communication channels, balancing contemporary clarity with a human, approachable feel.

Brand Patterns
Derived from the geometric elements of the logomark, Joyride’s custom brand patterns add texture, depth, and personality to communications across touchpoints. Ranging from the primary logo pattern to dynamic vertical, horizontal, and tick tile variants, these patterns provide flexible design options that reinforce brand consistency while remaining subtle enough to use as backgrounds for text and photography.

Pattern Construction
The brand patterns are built directly by breaking down the central logomark into its modular components. By isolating specific geometric shapes from the "J" letterforms - such as vertical or horizontal segments - and arranging them into repeating, tiled structures, the system creates fluid, organic textures. This intentional construction ensures that every pattern remains intrinsically tied to the core visual identity while offering scalable flexibility for various design applications.

Photography & Graphic Styles
Joyride's photography and graphic style integrate the brand's visual language directly with imagery to create a consistent, recognizable presence across communications. By combining organic graphic overlays, custom pattern containers, and cropped framing inspired by the logomark, photography interacts dynamically with bold shapes and rhythmic motion. This approach ensures that marketing touchpoints feel ownable, warm, and deeply connected to the wider Joyride identity.

Brand Guidelines Document
To ensure consistent implementation across every channel, the comprehensive Brand Style Guide serves as the ultimate roadmap for the Joyride identity. Covering everything from logo construction and clearance rules to colour hierarchy, typography scales, pattern integration, and in-situ examples, the documentation provides flexible yet rigorous creative standards. This framework equips internal teams and partners with the tools needed to maintain a dynamic, cohesive, and adaptable brand.
